F1 Tickets
Anyone every buy F1 tickets for Montreal? I was wondering how do I know what row I get to sit in when I buy a silver or bronze set of tickets for one of the stands. None of the sites tell you how the seating works. TIA.

Re: F1 Tickets
I was there 2 years ago and bought from a scalper for general admission and then from someone inside for grandstand seats. It worked, but it's probably best to buy in advance. The Casino hairpin has great views plus the big TV to see the rest of the race. Have fun ... it's a great race and party town.

Go here http://www.grandprix.ca/index_en.html
then click on purchase tickets. It gives you a map of the grandstands and the price.
I've been 4 times to the Montreal GP. Here's what I've learned.
Grandstand 15 has a great view of the hairpin. 21 is better than 24 both from getting into it and from the overall visibility. The cars disappear under the grandstand when you are sitting at 24.
11 is not bad if you can sit at the right side of the grandstand. If you end up too far left you have little view of anything. Also its a lot walk into 11. I've sat in 11, 21 and 24 and if I go back again would like to sit in 15 or 12. Start/finish seats are not as interesting as the cars just blitz by - but you do get to see into the pits pretty well.
Also the city itself is a great place to be on the GP weekend - lots going on!
