't drive stick (not very well anyway!) and I'm no fan of the 1.8t engine hooked up to an automatic gearbox, so I natually would steer him to the 3.2. Is there anything I should know about it that would change my mind?
He will deffinitely not be modding it, tracking it, or doing anything of that kind, so before anybody brings it up, the 1.8t's tuning potential is totally unimportant in this case.
Thanks for the help :-)

Only one known issue so far
Some 3.2's are being held at port currently, and AoA isn't releasing the details why. The strongest rumor is that there might be a potential software glitch in engaging Reverse. The DSG transmission is very computerized, so unless we hear this has anything to do with the clutches, it's probably a software issue that can be patched easily. Do a search on this board for "3.2, port" in the last week to find more details. I've had my car for 2 1/2 weeks now with no issues whatsoever.

After lurking on the B6 S4 board and seeing the various engine and clutch issues I just don't want h
im to have to deal with that. He's a stickler for reliability and I don't want to send him toward something that's been known to blow its engine, lose half of its gearbox at once, or some such thing.
Thanks for the response
