feedback on forge valve/error code p1128.......
Pete at Stratmosphere sent me a new forge valve (newer, smaller unit), which I promptly put in.
This did not correctthe problem. Same error code p1128 (trim fuel condition). The dealer put in a new stock valve and it appears fixed.
The car runs fine, without noticeable difference from when ? faulty forge was in.
It was such a hastle to deal with dealer and after market parts/ warranty issues that I'm happy to let them replace my stock valve as needed.
In fact, I'm told that one should lube the forge every 8K miles or so. Why is this easier than just letting the dealer replace stock valve?
Perhaps in a chipped 225, there is more of an issue, but I can't feel any differences in performance in my non chipped 180 between the 2 valves.
I do not understand the origin of this error code as it relates to the valve, though the mechanic said it was common with after market valves and he has seen it several times before.
