A few good uses for the panic button on the remote...
It's handy for scaring kids who are trying to limit their lifespan by skateboarding by my TTR.
It's ever so handy for limiting cell phone conversations of people who sit next to me while I'm sitting at an outdoor coffee shop. I guess they figure they need to yell into the phone since there are no wires and the other person is far away. (As a person was getting irked at me the other day, I kindly pointed to the "no cell phones" sign on the table. I then informed him that my car battery would last a lot longer than his cell phone battery.) aaaahhhhh...peace & quiet.
It's very effective for scaring birds out of the area. As I was enjoying my lunch at Rubio's this afternoon, a few ladies decided it would be nice to feed the birds. They failed to realize that 1] they're not supposed to do that (guess they couldn't read the signs either), and 2] what goes in comes back out.
It's a handy tool to use when that big Chevy Suburban is trying to squeeze into the compact car space next to your TT.
Any others???
TP

scare the crap out of my brother who was sleeping in the car while I filled gas ...
car alarms are not so popular in India, and so he's not used to it, and so it makes him reliably bump his head when he gets startled.

To get girls to notice its YOUR TT...
I know its horrible... but I'm single, what can I do...
One night when returning to my TT I noticed a group of young women checkin' out the car. As I approached they started down the street the other way. So, as I was about to get in, I "accidentally" set off my alarm and they all turned around ("wow! thats your TT?").
So, the panic button is a great way to draw attention to your TT (if its not getting enough already!)

Alarm to wake you if you fell asleep while parked...
Set seat back for a snooze, remove key, arm system with remote... doze off... next time you move a bit, the alarm goes off (yes, learned this accidentally after trying to tie the remote to the seat memory at 3AM).
