FH20 Fallingwater photo opportunities ( attendees please read )
Hey guys,
Really wish I was joining you, but having just gone in September with the TT, and all the house renovation in full swing Deb and I can't get away.
You'll have a great time, and I look forward to seeing the pictures.
Take note: There is no opportunity to photograph the car by the structure.
The best you can do is photo at the gate ( which is what I posted ). But be ready, be careful, and be quick.... you come in off a little 2 lane windy country road with a blind spot. Traffic to the house after 7:30 am can be brisk so you don't want to daudle or you could get clipped.
Definately take a walk up river with your camera. There is a vantage point of the house and waterfall ( the perenial beauty shot, postcard ). You can take lots of pictures inside but buy the $7 softcover book with all the pictures you just took and the story about the rooms.
Kentuck **** is the same situation. The parking is set way back from the structure with no drive up available. When you're done with the tour... Walk out back to the hill. There's a panoramic view into three states. On the walk back to the car you can walk through lord muchety muchs sculpture garden.
Historic note : an english lord bought Kentuck **** in the $80's to house his Frank Lloyd Wright collection. Mel Brooks would say "its' good to be the king". Some nice objects and pictures of him with the Royals and Princess Di if you're into lifestyles of the obnoxiously rich and english. ;-) Brits please take no offense, non-intended.
Enjoy ..........Drive safe (rubber side down)
Best Wishes

dr - The official TT FH20 shirts had to be pre-ordered..If you ordered one, I would be happy to
transport it back to LI for you...
If you are talking about a T-shirt from Fallingwater itself, I am an UNREGISTERED attendee so cannot help you out...
If you were being facetious about wanting a T-shirt, kindly disregard my remarks...
Thanks for the info and well wishes.... Kim
