Fitment
Hello, im looking to purchase rims and tires for my 2001 TT coup. The rims im looking to buy have a bolt pattern of 5x112 which is fine because I have four 20mm spacers which convert the 5x112 to 5x100. The rims im looking to buy are 18"x8" with an offset of 42 where as my stock (17x7.5s) are said to have an offset of either 32 or 35...(ive herd mostly 35 but someone else also mentioned 32). so if I were to put these new rims with the spacers on my car with tires 225/40/18 I believe there should be no rubbing (I could be wrong), however I actually want to purchase 245/40/18s... does anyone feel there will be rubbing? I really like that bubbly look. What are your thought? Would it be helpful for me to post the rims and tires im looking to purchase?

Your setup should not cause any rubbing issue unless your suspension is extremely lowered. Your final Et is 22 so your front wheel will be 6.35mm inside the fender and the rear 12.35mm.
IMO a 235/40/18 tire would be a better fir on a 8" wheel, square fit and not too high profile.

Okay sounds good, Thanks for your response. I think I will be going with 235s instead of the 245s and I also will be purchasing a rim with a 40 offset rather than 42, but everything else will remain the same. I hope this makes things less risky. If there is any further advice I would love to hear it.
