highest octane available in Colorado at the pump. And my cooler and helmet's packed and ready for my SoloII event tomorrow morning.
Still planning on street modified but with a stock chip (insolent aint I!?!). I figure its better to rule in hell than serve in heaven. I'll keep a close eye on the times and competition in C Street Prepared and maybe step up and run slicks with them next time. I'm leaving all aftermarket chips home... tempt not/want not.
Car was in for 10k today and everyone at the dealership is coming around and positively gah-gah over this car. They LOVE this car and are starting to live a bit vicariously through me. And while they dont openly endorse chipping and the mods I've done they also dont chastize me and to a great degree, wink and playfully cajole me about knowing this thing will gain about 40-50HP within seconds of driving off their lot.
When I pulled up this morning, I cleared the showroom and lot. Everyone comes out to get a look. They ALL love it... young, old, buyers, traders, sellers, salesmen, receptionist, finance people, service people, **** boys and even many who work the VW lot next door as rumor goes through the dealership like wildfire. I think at first they didnt quite know what to make of me and this car. I think management is starting to appreciate the kind of attention this car attracts when on the lot and now likes it when I'm around.
This aint just a "chick car"... this is a kid car.... little boy, little girl car, grown men and women car. This is a car that draws a crowd when parked and people oooh and ahh, fawn and dote all over it. If only I were so svelt, graceful and fleet of foot in womens eyes. But then I'm the one sporting a "your body may be a temple, but mines an amusement park" t-shirt.
Think that puts em off a bit?
