Chris Bangle's hands are clearly evident in this new iteration of the old e36/7 platform. Enjoy (or not). All of the roundels are covered in black tape.

You mean, if like Rockport made clown shoes that's what they would look like? ;-) I agree, very
S2000, very uninspired. After seeing the new 7-series, and now this car, it seems obvious that BMW is firmly committed to making the ugliest rears of any automaker on the planet.

It's hard to see in pic #2 because of the side mirror, but if you look closely...
...the "flame surface" lines along the side of the car actually form a "Z". The center of the "Z" is covered up with black tape (under which lies a BMW roundel).
