Default Fun Morning

Well it took all my energy today to get me out of bed this morning to go to class, should have just not got up. When I got to class today and parked the person parking behind me decided to hit my bumper, giving it a nice crease about 3 inches above the exhaust. Anyone have any quick ideas of cost of new bumper and paint? I will post some pics later on.

A little rubbing compound or wax should do the trick!

Default uh! i hate stories like that...

i have the beautiful indentation of someone's license plate screw mark in my bumper... i am going to get it fixed in a couple months. you may not need a new bumper, just have them pop the indentation out, fill, sand, and repaint. it will probably run you somewhere around $500, that's what i am expecting to pay. i would just check with your regional forum as to what the best body shops in your area are and get quotes from all of them.

was the car that hit you still parked there? if so you should have taken their plate number and left them a note saying call me or else i am reporting a hit and run.

Even better I was in the car. The person was kind of suprised when I got out! Not to worried about her paying up just my car is my baby and she is not happy now. I am going to get an estimate later on today when I get out of class. I will tell you what I find out.

Default Q+A

Is the scratch on the bumper or the exhaust valence? If it's the valence, time for a new one. We had a tree fall on a 225QR when i worked at audi. A good body shop can erase yur ex's name from your hood but you pay for it.

Its about 3 inches above the valance. I have the 3.2 valance so that would have been an easy fix. It is on the bumper and more than just a scratch more like a pinch or crease in the material if that makes sence.

I had that on my old a4...a caddy hit it at like 0mph.. took a quarter size dink out of the paint. It cuz the damn thing is plastic there. Could always get that cool GT body kit they have on LLtek. I think that replaces that part of the rear..
