Have you asked to see the parts, even out of curiosity to see what the pieces look like?

I think the custom means: With or Without Drivers Side Oxygen supply

Ok, the car's been in the shop for 2 1/2 weeks. First, they replaced the ENITIRE clutch assembly, then they found a cracked bell housing (where the tranny meets the engine) and replace that. They put everything together and it still didn't work.

So now the word is that it needs a new transmission as well. The new tranny should arrive today or tomorrow, and HOPEFULLY it will be ready by Friday. That is, if they don't find anything else to replace.

Until then, I'll be cruising the blue-hair special Le Sabre Custom (I can't figure out what makes this Le Sabre "Custom". Anyone know?)
