Default FWD Availability

Does anyone know if the FWD is now more difficult to get since the quattro has come out? It seems that all the cars that are not special order are fully loaded, and adding the Quattro
option starts moving a 30K+ car into the 40K price range. I don't really need the Quatto option nor the Bose system which combined, add 10% to the price. Again, I don't think I can wait the months some people are willing to endure so I'm sure I'll have to take the options I don't want.

This is the EXACT reason I'm waiting until December to receive my TT. The only TT's coming to the US right now are TTQ's and they're loaded (so I'm told by A-o-A) so if you want a FWD with JUST the performance package or JUST the comfort package or whatever, you have to order it. I ordered mine last month and was told delivery would be 3-6 months, most likely December.

Well, I ordered my TT at the beginning of August, and it was scheduled to arrive in late October. Most FWD TTs that were ordered in August were cancelled by Audi because of availability. I don't know if this means that everything is a TTQ or what, but Audi has promised that dealers can double order in September to make up for the August cancellations. Anyway, if you ordered your car in August, call your dealer, because it may have been delayed another month.

Make your choice and shut up about it! There are perfect reasons to choose either model. The FWD is very fine! If you (think you) know why you want the Quattro, the quattro is better for you, whatever the reason is.

And if you think you neeed the 225, weeeeelll, heck... can't you keep yourself occupied in the meantime?

The crucial thing is, don't pay for more than you need. In this circumstance, all three choices are perfectly valid.

Your missing the point, Audi has made the choice for you by only providing fully loaded cars. I'm sure that as they release newer versions such as the 225 or the roadster, anyone wanting anything else will be forced to wait, & wait, & wait ... The car is in high demand, and they are in control.

Make your choice and "shut up about it"!? You have given one more example (after many others I've seen here) of the rudeness and lack of civility that seperates this forum from every other in which I participate. What is it about the TT that attracts a group capable of displaying such volatile and inexcuseable behavior? Can you say "polite"? Sorry to pick on this post in particular, but it's just the straw that's broken the camel's back.

(Tired of the incessannt dealer-bashing, too.)

Maybe we all should have our choice of car checked by people a bit more serious than ourselves? ;-)
