Default The gawd Roadster. It's not a TT. Help!

Got a ride Thursday night in a roasdster with a propeller emblem.

M Roadster+~$15k = 400b.h.p. Dinan kit, front to back, including 3-inch exhaust kit. 390 lb.-ft. torque. It was fun, just like a TT. It was cute, much like a TT. It was fast like Mercury's own chariot, unlike all but the most exotic TTs.

It also left stripes on the on-ramp at Portola and highway 1 north. In second gear at 40 m.p.h. Go check and see!

Friends, I am having a true crisis of faith. Should I succumb to the BMW, or continue saving money for the down payment on a TT? With wicked horses on tap, nice styling (not as sublime as the TT) and rear-wheel drive handling, should I stray or should I go now?

Another crisis. It's not nearly as beautiful to the camera as a TT.

Spoiler: The owner of the BMW was an Audi mechanic for five years. Now he writes linux-based wireless network gateway code! He does own an unmodified S4, and is considering an engine swap once he gets a donor TT.

Default Get the TT!!

With the 5k you save vs. buying the BMW, you will have a total of 20k to replicate that type of performance in a TT. I think the HPA Motorsports Twin Turbo VR6 TT sounds about right.....

Default Here's two cents:

Eye candy: TT - BMW tried with the Z8 and "didn't quite make it.

Rear drive, power, handling: M roadster (Mcoupe even better)

Few engine-swap monsters turn out as refined as a off the show-room floor ride.

Ahhhh, but what fun!

Default I wouldn't want that much power in a droptop. Scary to me if the back end goes out and

you flip 'er. Personally I don't care for the looks of the M Coupe but with all that power, I'd rather have the steel around me head.

THis is all rather irrelevant, I know.
