Default Gears feel notchy - comments?

Hey all-
So, the first 3000 miles have flown by - love this car. However, it feels like all my gears need two steps to get in. For example - from first to second (and so on through the chain) clutch down, get out of first, hit something that seems to make my shifter stick which requires a bit of extra effort to get into 2nd. Is this normal? I can't remember having the same feel on my "old" (2000) Jetta.
Any comments from you pros?
Thanks!
Alex

Default Get used to it (search the million posts)...my dealer has tried a few things but

nothing yet has worked, last was to switch out the trans fluid to whatever is in Porsche's and so I do not grind (as much) from 1 to 2 but is still notchy as you describe. Audi feels that is normal...tons of posts on this issue.

Default Perhaps this can help you?

Basic info on how to adjust your gear lever if 1st and 2nd are notchy. However, I don't feel this is exactly your problem. Car still needs to loosen up, and take it from me, you'll certainly notice a great improvement when you have your gearbox oil changed. Do not go for the Audi stuff, better use a superior 75W90 oil by Torco, Amsoil or RedLine. I remember quite a few forum members saying the Amsoil is probably the best amongst them for our cars that don't have limited slip diffs.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc21.shtml</a
