Default Getting new 19" rims and have some questions..

Thinking about getting some ATA H40 in 19x10 in the back and 19x8.5 in the front. I was wondering what tire sizes I would need to go with. I work at a wheel distributor and my boss said I would prolly go with 225/35-19 in the front and 275/30-19 in the rear. The difference in the two tires height is .3 inches. I dont know if that will be a problem for my transfer case. Im wondering if those wheels are too big/wide in the back for me. I wont be racing on the 19s often since i'll have my stock 17s. If anyone is running 19s lemme know what size rims/tires you have.

Default I think you will have problems... here is my setup...

I have 19x8 (235) front and 19x10 (265) rear. If you had 18's u could maybe get away with it, but i had problems with the rubbing of brake cables, which had to be re-routed. Even with the 265's, i think 275 would give u some serious problems with clearance inside. to solve the problem, i put 10mm spacers all the way around. This gave me enough clearance not only from the struts but the inner lining in the wheel well. There were no problems with the fender clearance, just the good stuff inside. So go with either 265 or less in my opinion, unless u have 18's.

Default I'm running 19's...

I have 19x8.5 Oettinger Type RZ's with 225/35's all the way around. If you are running coilovers you will need 225/35 in the front or the tire will rub the perch during large radius turns. If you don't have coilover's but plan on getting them this info may help. Not sure with the rear as I have never ran a staggered setup.

Default I wouldn't go with anything skinnier than 235s on the front.

Make sure that you get the 21mm offsets, the 45 mm offset is too high and will hit your brake calipers.

Default I agree with quaTTrings

definetly 235's front and if you can do 265's or 275's rear that is awesome. Someone here on the forum is running 275's rear on a package from edgeracing.com Good luck!
