Glass separation from TT Convertible top

This morning the automatic top on my 2008 TT would not go down. An error indicator appeared on the dash. Exterior inspection shows rear glass has separated from the cloth top. Would this prevent the top from working?

Doubtful unless water infiltration has damaged the power top mechanism. By the way, your 2008 is a Mk2 TT. Better to ask in that forum. Good luck.

Agree. Problem in the Mk 2s is usually a bad flap motor

A common and chronic problem for Mk 2 roadsters. Look back a few pages in the Mk 2 forum and you will find several discussions.

There is a solution, a lot of people talk about it but not a lot have actually done it correctly. You can glue your top back together. I did, I just followed what this guy did in this Youtube video
