Got my TT back last night from Keyes Audi..
It was in for the following:
- Replace Cluster (sticky gas gauge)
- Fix driver's visor light
- 2 more license plate screws (for the back)
- Check tire pressure (as long as it's there)
- Seems skittish in the morning (prolly the 91 octane gas <G>
- Don't wash the damn thing
Dropped it off at 9:00 am on the dot, as promised. Before I left I made sure to tell my service manager about the disappointment of the last service experience. Last time I brought it in for cluster replacement, no one told me to bring all the keys with me. Needless to say, it sat there all day in the 100 degree sun without my sunshade in the window. I got there, burned my butt on the seat and hand on the gear shift. I made sure he knew that I wasn't happy.
So, 4:30 rolls around, no call. I call them, they check on the car and tell me it will be ready at 5:15 after they wash it. I say, very impatiently, DON'T WASH IT!! So, I pick it up afterhours (they leave the keys with the floor manager) and checkout their handywork.
1. Wasn't washed (thank god)
2. I see the 2 new screws in the back license plate
3. I can tell the cluster was replaced (all shiny and clean) and when I start it I can tell how much gas I have <G>.
4. Driver's visor light works now
5. Skittishness can't be reproduced (no biggie)
I get there while the sun is still up (around 6:45) and it's still hot outside and low and behold, the car is parked in the shade. <G>
Overall, a nice experience. They listened to my complaints and took car of them and even remedied the stuff they screwed up the previous time.
