Default Got new jack and jack stands. When using the new hydro. jack...

where should I put it to lift the car-where the old, stock jack went? Also, where should I position the jack stands?

Default Do NOT use the front rubber donuts, I have crushed one of mine, and bent the other. They are meant

to be used all at once distributing the load of the car, not individually which results in a higher load. There is no great place for either the jack or the stands, unfortunately...

Default We've all been there, done that - (except Schwing ;-x) on the Rear I find>>

forward edge of the swing arms is a good solid spot

Default i disagree>>

i always use the donuts to lift the car, but I put something in between the jack and the donut to keep the jack cup from mutilating the donut.

best option though is to get an adapter for the jack so that you can lift the car on the pinch weld.

Default Good plan.....>>

I now jack mine from the rockers (My lift pads are slotted like that) since the donuts collapsed a bit from overuse...:-)

Default I've been jacking my car up for 5 years with those donuts

Yeah, that area is a little caved in, but they still function. My hydraulic jack fits perfectly on that donut.
