Pickup truck lost one of it's contents on the Hwy ahead of me this morning - a nearly empty 3 Gal plastic gas can.
Bounced like a punted football.
Go right? Go Left? Go right?.....GO LEEEEEFT!
BRAKE! STEER! BRAKE! STEER! BRAKE! STEEEEER!......Finally recoverd on inside shoulder doing 50MPH.
Not exactly the "fun" adrenaline from engaging Quattro.
I'm just glad the TTQ was there for me today.

Glad you're okay...
Similar events have caused me to get my MK1 TT sideways twice as well, over the course of three years. It has made me wonder whether the newer TT's w/ ESP would not be quite so tail happy in such situations. Still, the everyday go-kart feel is too good to lose.

To me quattro dont help in braking and coasting handling maneuvers...
I love the quattro and all for the acceleration capabilities on slippery pavement or when coming out of turns but I dont think it has THAT much to do with how the car handles.
