Default Greetings TTers - heads up on a Siemens Gigaset 2.4Ghz w/extra handset i'm selling cheap on eBay...

90 bucks buy it now auction - seller rbiddle
selling because it doesnt work with an 802.11b network - so if you have a home wireless network DON'T BUY IT!
I figured this forum has about the largest bunch of techie/gadget hounds that I've seen in one place so it was a good bet.
thanks,
Ross

I use that phone w/an 802.11b setup w/only very minor, infrequent interference.

I'll agree with EighTT. I have two Gigaset 2410's and two 802.11b APs in my apartment.

Default Love mine >>>

Most everyone would agree that Panasonic and Siemens make the best QUALITY 2.4GHz phones. Most lean towards Panasonic. I have both in my apartment, and I really prefer to use the Siemens. The sound quality is outstanding.

Default Ok, I am looking now . ..

looks like there are a few different Siemens models. Looks like the choices are 4200, 8800, 4215, 4015, 4000 and 8825.

Obviously looks like the 8000 series is higher end than the 4000 series.

Which model do you have? I don't see any reason to spend more than $100 on one, what is your take and recommendation?

I know Siemens makes good cordless as my brother-in-law uses their cordless busness units in his architecural firm.
