Default GT3 - Need help w/ Logitech Steering Wheel

Just got the wheel and am having trouble playing the game with it - more than usual that is.

I calibrated the wheel from the options screen within the game, but it still seems not right. For example, when the wheel is in its center position, the car turns left.

Is there another form of calibration I should perform? or do I have a defective unit?

Default Could be one of two things (have had a similar problem) ...

1) The calibration can be VERY touchy ... make absolutely certain that your calibrated center is in fact dead center

OR

2) Sometimes with the controllers AND the wheel plugged in, I find the wheel acts flaky. Try unplugging both controllers (or the multitap if you have that), plugging only the wheel in, and resetting the unit.

Either of those two things have always fixed my problems.

Hope that helps.

Default Are you sure your's is the PS2 GT3 wheel?

A few others were given the PC version by mistake. Assuming you have the right one (blue) then the calibration adjustments should work. There is a specific calibration for centering the wheel. Did you do that one?

If you're sure that you did all the claibrations correctly, you should return it for another.

Default I only have had the wheel plugged in during the 2 times I have used it

but...in both cases, the power for the wheel was plugged in after I connected the USB connector.

I guess I'll have to follow the instructions to the letter.

Default I have the correct wheel, blue wheel...

You're right the on screen calibrations seem to be very finicky.

During calibration..
in the full left & right screen, the bar starts off center

in the centering screen, again the line starts off center.

I'll keep trying

Default the pc wheel works fine as well, same wheel, differnet color and logo.

This is the logitech FF GP, not GT. that's the older model.
