Default The damage from not having enough oil in a car seems pretty obvious...what can happen if you have

TOO much oil...

Just curious...

Default It 's a little above the high line . Not much. I think in some cars ...

too much oil can make you blow a gasket or other problems. I thought the TT took 4.8 qts. I asked him to put 4 1/2 in & I would top it off.But he ignored what I said. Anybody know for sure?

Default "to avoid damage to catalytic converter oil must not exceed maximum mark"

Quoted from writing on the oil filler cap. Also the manual is very adamant about this too. Personally I think 0.2 over may be minor since you can get that much variation with the car sitting on even a slight incline. But Audi says nothing about allowing ANY overage.

Default by .2 quart. i don't think this is enough to make a difference.

If your really worried check your oil and wipe clean 10-20 times. Overfilling would be an extra quart

Default It is NOT a good idea to overfill a high rpm high hp to liter output engine...

will blow gaskets, seals, etc. Sitting at the highmark (dip stick)is ok...ever so slightly above could be many things...ground not level where car is sitting and taking reading to it is slightly overfilled. I would take car back to dealer and have them remove some of the oil to play it safe...did a Audi dealer do the oil change?
