Has anyone else seen the new S-5!!!!!!!
Saw my first one at the dealership yesterday...will go for a drive by weekend...spectacular car....V-8 power...jaw-dropping looks...an interior beyond gorgeous, and priced about the same as a V6 TT MkII!? Who needs the Mk II...I think Audi has knocked it out of the ball park with this one!!!! Whaddya all think?

Drove it this weekend and quite frankly too many other cars for $60k i'd rather have
very nice looking inside and out, i'll give it that - but it's just too expensive for what it is IMO.

haven't driven it...but i already love it.
however i'm not sure how you think it's priced the same as the 3.2 MK2....i think you're thinking of the A5, not the S5.
i agree about the MK2. now it's even more useless...

Not too many rides in the 50-70 range new that I would consider
aside fron the Cayman S and the Exige...but they are far from Day to day cars.
I guess thats why I'm sticking with mine...I has the good looks, has the performance, and just makes me smile.

I'm curious what that would be?
i am keeping my car for the reason
Qu!cksilva is. cars are stupid money pits, just emotionally stimulating pits. so i'm justifying my money pit by having it for a while.
that being said, for $58k loaded, what the hell else would you rather have than the simply gorgeous S5? It is almost as fast as the RS4, handles great, and looks perfect!!! i admit being the audi pitchman, but this thing is different

Is ok, drives big on the road. Had hoped it would be more desireable for me but waiting
on the B8 S4 I guess... nice cars though. Wrote a mini review on the A5 forums here. Was one of the first in line for allocations, not getting one at this time.

Mini S5 Review...

Re: Has anyone else seen the new S-5!!!!!!!
Actually, I just got back to the west coast after being in Germany and had a chance to see the A5. It looks big,and the back seat actually is quite usable. The 3.0 TDI would be the one I would get, but I am liking my 06 TT way too much right now.
Nice lines on the A5, but like I said, it looks a lot bigger than in the pictures..

Figure in the horrid gas mileage as well and the fact that you'd have to change
brakes and suspension right off the bat and your well over $60k. Cayman S might be slower in a straight line but way more fun on the track. For that money a used 993 TT isn't that far off either - yeah it's used BUT well it's not a contest. I know it was a VERY short little run - but it left me wanting more. Hell it felt slower than my TT :-)
