Default Having trouble waiting for Friday!!! (Pickup day!)

1. Loan... I fooled another bank!
2. Insurance company... Such a deal! They are giving me a 2nd-car discount! Look ma, I'm saving money!!
3. Dealership... The local dealer won't be happy but I ran out of patience for green - Amulet waiting for me in Chicago for Friday!

I can't wait! It is just like Christmas!!

4. Route home... I think I'm going to take a circuitous route back from Chicago to Durham, NC this next weekend. Maybe Chicago to Niagara Falls to Durham, NC via the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Anyone have pictures of their TT(s) in front of Niagara Falls?

Default Best of luck, sounds like an epic drive home!

...and MichaelTT has another Amulet Red TT to contend with.

I too got a 2nd car discount with my insurance co (USAA), the TT insurance is costing about the same as my primary car with exact same coverage.

Toys are good!!!

Default Re: Best of luck, sounds like an epic drive home!

My two cars cost about the same. My V70R cost me $45k. The 225TTR costs about $42k. The TT actually cost less than the Volvo. This surprised me, but I'm not complaining. I can tell people that it costs less to insure than one of the safest cars on the road. I see the TTR as the safest roadster on the road as well. See a trend in car purchases?

My epic journey home is actually a trimmed down version because I need to be in RTP, NC for a meeting on Monday and won't have time to prepare if I spend 30 hours in a car next weekend. ;-)

6 days and counting!

Default Sorry MichaelTT... yup another Red TT on the road...

Another Amulet on the road. Would be fun to get a picture with a TTC & TTR next to each other at Niagara Falls...up for a road trip? ;-)

Default

If you're driving from Niagra to Durham, stop by Watkins Glen and drive the 1948 Grand Prix course.

Default And do some hiking at the Watkins Glen Gorge

It's not a long hike, and it's pretty touristy, but you walk under waterfalls and such. Very cool. It was a long time before i knew there was even a track there - I thought everyone went for the gorge...
