Default Heat Shield Rattle - did a search, but...

can't seem to find what I'm looking for...

Has anyone experienced the low RPM rattle coming from the heat shield?

I've been driving with it for a while but I've been losing my mind.

Do I need to find an exhaust shop to work on it? Or would any reputable, independent shop be able to fix it?

The dealer told me $700 to fix it but I believe that was to replace "something" completely...no thanks. ($700 heat shield?)

I know I can't take it off, so I was wondering if anyone knew how much dough I should expect to pay to get it fixed? I don't want to get beat...the dealer is always trying to beat me.

I can't stand it anymore...super loud...gotta do it this week.

If you've had this problem before; how much did you pay to get it fixed?

Anyone? I have the same problem. It rattles between 1300 and 2300 RPM. It started about a month ago. I can't figure out which shield it is.

Check the dog bone engine mount under the car, the rubber gets soft and the engine starts moving about. The heat shield rattles.

About 30 minutes to replace it. Real easy DIY.
