Heater Air Distribution
I've noticed that when the outside temperature is below around 45°F and I use my heater in AUTO that I get a good flow of heated air out of the outboard vent, but almost no flow from the center vents. I usually end up selecting the dash and floor outlets manually to obtain more even heating. Has anyone else noticed this?

Re: Heater Air Distribution
This mode seems to be common in many cars. Our '90 Accord and LS400 both direct more warm air to the left and right dash vents than to the center vents when the climate control is in Heater mode. Experiencing the same behavior in our TT seems 'normal.'
Maybe the intent is to dirct the warmed air toward the parts of the interior nearest the windows to keep them from fogging and because the interior of the car is colder near the glass.

Russ:
I noticed the same thing and asked the dealer about it. I was told that what you described is indeed NORMAL! I told him that my right hand gets just as cold as my left and would like it to get warmed up using the Auto button. He said it is not possible.

Re: Heater Air Distribution
Has anyone noticed a lack of warm air to the gas pedal area? Here in Minnesota we need a lot of warm air to keep from freezing to death out on the tundra. I've been finding that my right foot is getting cold while the rest of me is cozy warm. Cool air seems to hit the gas pedal area. Setting the cruise and moving my foot to the left and back cures the problem, but I can use the cruise while driving to the office.
