Default HELP! 225TT engine temp at 3/4 guage position when driving hard

This never happened on my old 180TT. My mod on the 225TT is just a chip, filter and DV. What should I do?
I wont be able to track my 225TT in this condition! Any suggestions on what to do to remedy my 225TT's high temp? TIA

Default Does the condition persist? What about normal operation?

It's my understanding that the OEM water pump can loose vanes, as they are not metal. If it's time to consider a timing belt anyway, pump replacement might be the answer.

Before doing that, did you have the A/C turned off when you were running hard? Is the fan (or fans) working? Does your operating temp fluxuate during normal operations? You may just have a bad thermostat or temp sensor.

Default Normal operation, no prob at all. Even in heavy traffic, guage stays at 1/2. A/C off or on, same.

Problem only happens when I drive the car hard. Also, my car has only 10,000km on it. BTW, thanks for the reponse.

Check the engine cold and see if you are loosing fluid. If not, party on!

Almost forgot, inspect your radiator for FOD - a piece of paper, dead bird, trash, etc.
