HELP! Car won't start, don't even know what to search for! I just connected to my radio ECU...
to recode it. It was 00202, and I changed it to 00102 (based on search results and discussions). When I recoded it, the radio turned off (and my ProDiag said it lost communication with it). I tried to turn the radio back on, but it didn't come back on. When I tried to reconnect to the radio ECU, I got nothing - couldn't connect. (I was pushing a few buttons to see what else is/isn't working...my hazards don't stay on unless I hold that button in. Don't know if that's related but it never happened before now). Now, the car won't start at all!? I disconnected the battery for a while (20 minutes) then tried all this again - same thing, car won't start. I haven't driven the car in 3 weeks (gone for business) and all was fine back then. Haven't driven it since I got back today, wanted to do this recoding first. But now i can't start it! Any ideas?? Yes, I had my driver's side door open while I was doing this.
Yes, I've disonnected my battery a couple times.
Would the radio work with a battery dead enough to not start the car?

My battery=11V (according to my cheap analog multimeter). Supposed to be 12.5? Is 11 too low?
I don't have a Fluke or a digital multimeter...looks like about 11V though.

11v? Car not driven in 3 wks? Sounds like battery is dead... >
The Bentley indicates that you should be sure to have a good battery before embarking on scanning or recoding routines.

No, it doesn't crank. My indterior lights and gauge lights are sporadic when I try to start it!
So now I'm into a little bit of a panic mode. How do I know if my immoblizer has been "activated"?
