Help, how does brake wear warning work?
When going to install the last EBC pad I noticed that the wires near to pad look damaged. I decided to install anyway. Since it was only the warning light, I figured I could cut it off if a problem. Well, a problem it was. So I cut the sensor wire at the pad and remove the wire. OK, but I still have the sensor brake wear yellow warning. So. my question is, do I need to have the old connector installed and jumped, or is this indicator set and I just need to clear it somehow?

Since wire was damaged (broke) coming out of the pad, I took the old sensor
wire cut off from the OEM brake pad and basically soldered (jumped) the two wires. Then plugged this in to the connector on the caliper assembly and presto, no more pad warning. Of course I will never get one, just have to keep an eye on the pads. I guess I could call EBC and get a new pad for the defective one, but not worth the hassle IMHO.
