Help! Info on trunk latch tightening.
As per instructions from the FAQ and a previously posted question, I adjusted the rubber stops and took apart the plastic trim in front of the trunk latch on top of the jack and triangle kit. The two bolts that hold the latch in don't seem to be adjustable. I tightened the latch and used loctite. I adjusted the rubber stops at one click each until it's full length and I still get the hatch moving up and down over some bumps. All interior trim pieces have been removed so I know that it can't be the trim pieces. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't understand how to increase the tension in the latch. There are no reference marks. I only tightened it so that it doesn't move up/down.

The adjustment is on the hatch side...>>
Not the car side. Slip off that little plastic trim piece and you'll see the marked adjustment fasteners...Move the "U" shaped piece UP to increase hatch tension. It may take a few tries to get it just right..

Thank you SOOOOO much TTsching! My dealer riveted the plastic trim for some reason so I'll have to buy a new plastic trim piece. Thanks for all the help!
