Default Help! My radio's broken!

This morning I left the house in my roadster and my radio was fine. I stopped to get coffee and when I restarted the car, the door speakers were fine for a second and then they stopped working.
The subwoofer still works but the sound is understandably horrible; people talking sound like they have socks in their mouths.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there an EASY fix? I dread the thought of the service department taking my dash apart to replace the radio.
Then again, maybe they can give me a new radio with the CD player in it, to compliment my 6 disk changer.
Thanks very much for any help.

I'm pretty sure it just sorta pops out and they put a new one in - that's what they did to mine.

Default Do the rear speakers, along with the sub still work? ....

It may be the turn-on wire. The H/U supplies a siognal to the power amp to turn on.this is a separate wire from the H/U to the amp, that is on a separte fuse.
I'd check this.
Also, there is a fuse on the back of the H/U that is particularly troublesome.
Looks good, but is bad.

The H/U can be pulled very easily to check for this.
Look here for details to make the tool necessary to do this.

Default You could try disconnecting the postive line from the battery for 10 sec, then put it back on.

Don't ask why, It has worked 2 times on my car when the radio has "died"
