help!!! please

Had an annoying clunking sound coming from the front end anytime I went over a bump, big or small. After some research here decided to replace the front struts, mounts and bearings(car has 54k miles). Just picked it up after the work was done-same annoying clunking persists. What should I look at next? Any help would be appreciated...TIA

swaybar was not looked at? that should be the first diagnosis.

swaybar would be more of a creaking noise...

clunking could be tie rods, ball joints, or control arm bushings. I am in the middle of this same issue. I took it in to the dealer under warranty and they replaced tie rods, steering rack, brake pads and rotors, sway bar, and finally pointed the finger to strut mounts and bearings, which i didn't think was the problem. I just replaced them and its still there. so I am back to my original assumtion of ball joints or control arm bushings.

Swaybar mount is likely broken. Happened to me.

same problem...

it's driving me nuts.....put the car up on a friend's lift and pushed and pulled everything...couldn't replicate the sound.....must require the wheels to be under load......sounds like a bad shock bushing in an older vehicle....I call it a bobble....I'm going to put the wheels up on block tomorrow and see if I can find the noise when it's under load!! I would say it's gotta be sway bearing bushings.
