Default Help! Tree sap on my TT!

I hand washed the car yesterday and found all the topside surfaces "sprinkled" with tree sap. I can pick them off with my fingernail, but theres so much it could take days.
Any suggestions for removing this without harming clearcoat? Will a claybar do the job or do I need a petroleum based cleaner-polish like Meguiers?

Thanks,
Mike

Default Quick remedy...

Meguiars and others offer a product called overspray clay. Essentially, its a clay bar that you just rub lightly on your paint after first spraying the body with a lubricant. Call s few parts stores or auto body supply stores, I'm sure you'll be able to find it.

Default Meguair CleanerWax or Clay will work. But the "wax" in Cleanerwax is not longlasting...

so you will have to rewax either way.

Default Sap removers do exist. Otherwise try waxes in spray usually used for wood furnitures...

work great to remove bugs also (Johnson "Pliz" for example)<p>Franck
