Default That'll do it...but remember the ECU adapts to your driving habits either way.

Resetting it will return the adaptations back to factory defaults, but if your drive conservatively most of the time, it will adapt right back to that in no time.

Default That is HIGHLY NOT recommended..

If you want to reset your ECU unplug the two clips and wait for about 5 minutes. There was a bulletin from Audi about not disconnecting the battery from their cars due it causing the vehicle to run in limp mode. This requires a trip to the dealer if this occurs, unless you have your own VAG tool.

Default yeah main reason I wanted to do it was because recently Ive been missing

power down low in the band...thought it was DV put in Forge...made good improvement...but still seems alittle sluggish below 4000rpm... thought reset might help....I ussually drive extremely fast...so dont think conservative driving is an issue....checked air filter last night..fairly clean...was thinking about maybe new spark plugs (has 15000kms on it) numerous dealer visits and they say they cant find any problems....but it just doesnt seem to have any grunt down low anymore....still has great pullin power on highway....I tested Forge valve to 145mph yesterday....seemed great

Default I can't believe it would cause limp mode...

What, so after your warranty is up you have to go to the dealer or find someone with a VAG tool when you swap out your battery for one from Wal Mart after five years or so?

If so, Audi has quite the racket going...

How much did you pay for your "European Spec-Xenon Light Housings " and where did you get it?

Default I wasn't aware of this. What's the difference to the ECU if you disconnect the...

...plugs to the ECU or the battery? There are other installations for which you have to disconnect the battery...including changing the battery. This seems a little strange. Do you have access to the service buletin?

I've disconnected my battery with no ramifications. What is "limp mode," exactly? Easy, smarty!
