Default High mileage TTs? ....Mine's got 75k on it now.....anybody had any significant high mileage....

...problems?? What's the common advice on timing belt/water pump change out? Factory says 105k but cooler heads say do it much earlier. Any first hand accounts?

Default Do Timing Belt NOW. Some say even around 65!

Other than that I had a stupid blown exhaust gasket at 74K and I am now just over 76K LOVIN IT!

GET A NEW TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP WTH METEL IMPELLER.......NOW!

My waterpump went at 35K, better that than the timing belt of course.

Default Got 94K miles on mine now>>>

did the timing belt late, at 80K or so...if i were to do it again...i would replace my belt/waterpump/tensioner around 65K. Too many cars have had early failures which can lead to 4K$ engine rebuilds....

Other than that...i have the original brake rotors and pads...and the original clutch.

The car is pretty reliable if you take care of it...

Default WOW! I guess I need to do my timing belt!! I had one strip on an old Passat....

...commuter car I was using a couple of years ago. Not a good feeling!!

I had heard around 60k for some VWs and the A4s....can't understand why Audi says 105k for the TT???
