hmm,no cel but exhaust tips are black and im avg. 16mpg...
new temp sensor, replaced maf less than 10k ago. replaced plugs, replaced fuel and air filter. what else could it be? car seems to have less power, but like i said nothing showing on the dash. any ideas? thanks!

That was part of my issue before...
Unfortunately it was a warped head. I didn't have smoke out the tailpipes, but they became black quickly and power was less than it should have been.

That reads Lambda (voltage of the 02's). Under most closed loop situations (idle, partial throttle etc.) That will be 1.0 or 14.7 A/F. Under WOT that will drop to .86 or thereabouts. Muliply by 14.7 for an approximate Air/Fuel ratio.

hmmm... makes me wonder, had the head resurfaced at 55k...
shop who installed new timing belt didn't line it up correctly and bent all valves. they did a head job at their cost, but i wonder if this could be it. how did you find out?
