Default hot air and turbos = ****ty afternoon...

I was driving around for a 2, 3 hours this afternoon (went back and forth to my Audi dealer, TWICE, because I forgot to pick up the part that I paid for the first time... long week...) Today was pretty hot, maybe upper 80s, and after a while I noticed that my car felt sluggish. It wasn't a sudden change, but I just didn't feel the pull of the turbo.

I thought my DV had failed, because that's what it felt like. But I just put a Bailey in a few weeks ago, so I didn't think that was the case. Paranoid as I am -I consider myself an autochondriac, kinda like a hypochondriac - I was sure something was broken.

I took out my DV, which seemed fine, and while i was playing around seeing if I could find anything wrong, the sun set, and the temp dropped. Not finding anything wrong, I startup my car to find the turbo working well again on the way home from work. Assuming it really was only the ambient temperature causing the sluggishness, I didn't realize it would have such an effect!

Any input?

Default No laughing here!

I think your idea is just fine. The cooler you can keep the incoming air the better. When my FMIC shows up, I plan on doing the complete intake system including the air box.

Default Do you know why your picture is so small....it's because

there is a [space] and 't' before the .jpg in the link.

Just remove the [space]and 't' and the picture will be bigger so use old folks can see it.

Thanks
