How di I tighten a door latch?
#2
easiest way to do this...
Open the door, look at the striker plate for the latch in the door jamb.
See those tick marks? Use a pen or a scribe to mark the location of this plate before you do anything.
Get a T-40 torx, prolly gonna need one on a ratchet handle.
Loosen the bolts enuf to move the plate up a bit when you Tap it with a hammer.\
in your case, you want to tap it *in*.
Not a lot, a 1/16" at a time.
Don't skew it right or left, keep the latch horizontal, or at the least on the same plane it's on.
Just move it up vertically.
Tighten 'em, try it.
