Default How did the Long Island Boys do at auto-x today?

Wanted to come check out the action but I got home at 4:30am and had to be at mannorville at 12 so I slept in.

Default I got home from Boston and finally went to sleep at 3:15 AM, and had to wake up at 6:00 AM to...

...drive to Nassau. No excuse!!!

The coolassbag's tent was a hit with the jobbers, although it needs mom's touch to embroider it with "coolassbag" and "Camp Jobber". :-)

Speaking of jobbers, Doug took the 6th place trophy in the novice class, and John took 5th. Not too shabby, especially when they were running against 26 (or so) cars.

As for the flagship of the Audi Navy, it wasn't exactly the day that I was hoping for. I finished 2nd in the Pro class, and #2 overall in PAX (index) out of about 100 cars at the event. The guy that won drove 100% perfect on his first run, and couldn't match his first run time all day. I drove about as perfect as humanly possible on my last run, and came up 0.4 seconds (or so) short of him. I'm not really bummed. He was the better driver today, and I won the 2nd place trophy in front of a few serious regional Pro drivers.

Inquiring minds wanna know where Larry's been hiding lately??? Rumor in the paddock says that he's SCARED of MCEngineer John's Maxima..... :-)

Default Respectable but not like I hoped...

Took 6th out of 26 novices with pax factor. Couldn't break the 38 sec barrier without taking a cone with me. Played with the tire pressures a bit in the afternoon since my first run felt like I was driving a rwd car. Didn't really help. It was a fast course which gave the non TTs (non AWD) cars a chance to match me a little more. Better next Sunday. Doug
