Probably less weight and less drivetrain loss for the Haldex
The Subaru system is more like the Tosen in terms of it always delivering power to both axles. It's less of a reactive system in that regard.
Implementation wise I think the Subaru system uses a viscous coupling, Haldex is a multi-plate wet clutch.
The upside to the multi-plate clutch setup is it's behavior can be modified via programming, I don't think the purely mechanical systems like Torsen or a viscous coupling can do that.

Yes. It does have a slight lag before it goes 50/50 (like a 1/8 rotation of front tire lag)..
Unless you get a race controller. Then for normal driving, it is 100:0 (aka Front wheel drive)
