Default How hard is it to find a TT225 with cloth interior?

We're in the early stages of shopping for a project car, and would really prefer the cloth interior. Am I kidding myself by thinking I will find one on Ebay or Autotrader? Or is this something that might take a while? Anyone have the % breakout of cloth vs. leather? Seems like the cloth was discontinued altogether after '01. Is this correct? Thanks guys!

Default They are very rare here, Mike. I can only think of one user with one>>>

who may have a better sense of just HOW rare statistically. I think that his is the only one I've personally seen Stateside.

I think it was a no cost option. You can imagine how many people give up "free" leather.

Default I have the cloth seats...

I had an opportunity to drive cars with both the full leather and the cloth/nubs before I ordered mine (2001, 225). It was a no brainer. The cloth was designed and considered by Audi to be the primary seat material, but marketing insisted that most buyers of a premium car would order full leather, and they were right. The cost was the same for both materials. Too bad more buyers didn't have an opportunity to try out the nubs. They hold you in the seat much better, and, incidentally, wear much better than the full leather. I also think that it looks better and fits the overall design of the interior.

I found mine on ebay back in 2001, you might be able to locate one.
