How many here would be interested in clear lenses made to the same spec as the OEM turn signals?

Default How many here would be interested in clear lenses made to the same spec as the OEM turn signals?

I have a set of OEM turn signal lenses at home. I know quite a few of us have modified the headlights in some way. I really want to have a lens made to the same spec as the OEM but out of clear material. I tried (and saw several people's efforts) to make a lens out of the lens materials from Home Depot and the like but I was never fully satisfied with the results. There is a local plastics place that may be able to make it for me but the initial cost is going to be high. If others are interested and we all share the cost it would make it easier for me to justify and would help others out as well. I would not make any money out of this deal. I'm not looking to get rich, just to share something nice with forum people. I also want to find amber bulbs for the turn signal to not be white. If there is enough interest I will investigate and report back with an estimate of costs for putting such a kit together. To save myself a lot of trouble, I thought it would be good to have a few ready for TTE and bring them with me.

Again, this is not an FS post (I will not be making any money) and is in no way affecting any AW vendors (since this is something none of them offer).

Any comments?

I might consider it. I am also considering the smoked to blend with the Nimbus.

Default I made a set but I did not like the way they diffused the light

the OEM lenses give the light a uniform look from the front of the car but have a brighter spot at the outside edge. Part of this is the design of inside of the headlight housing but it is also down to the way the notches are cut into the plastic lens. Hold one up to the light and look at the area towards the outside and you'll see what I mean.

I would suspect that colors could be changed quite easily once the first model and cast is done
