Both are 2001's and K box ECU's
Can they just be swapped and then I am guessing recode the remotes or maybe swap remote sections of the flip key ?
Thanks Peter

You need to download their immobiliser cloning tool. >>
It requires the serial version of Vagcom cable.
I discovered this when I took my already chipped ECU to a local APR dealer because I thought the swap required the Audi secret keycode. While I wa swaiting I overheard them call APR and ask how to do the job. Nice eh?
Then they couldnt make it work and again got on the phone to APR...the result of that conversation was that their USB VagCom cable was the culprit. Luckily I had my own serial cable in the trunk.
If I'd known about APR's immobiliser cloning tool I would never have called them in the first place.
So you now owe me half of $80 ;-)
