I found an ebay seller who sells 1.8T timing belt kits for our cars.
It's the exact parts listed on Dieselgeek and ECS (except the stretch bolts, but the numbers are similar).
I don't plan on doing the thermostat now anyway, so it's no biggie that he doesn't include it.
This is a savings of a little over $70 bucks--and even less than it costs to source all the parts individually. I don't really see a downside to using this ebay seller, does anyone else?
Here's the link for anyone interested:<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-AUDI-1-8T-TIMING-BELT-KIT-GOLF-JETTA-NB-TT-NEW_W0QQitemZ150087770841QQihZ005QQcategoryZ33625Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">Metalman Parts has great feedback.</a></li></ul>

You really want to trust your timing belt to an eBay retailer?
I would gladly pay more and have a definite source to go back to with issues. Both DG and ECS have had problems with the parts they supplied (thermostats and tensioners come to mind) and likely through the input from this forum, they solved those problems. I doubt that would happen with your eBayer... Just a thought.
