Default I guess my battery is dead.....questions......

Well, I'm still out of town until midnight tonight, but my wife just called and said when she was getting ready to go to work this morning, the car was flat lined.....Had to unlock it manually, no lights, nothing with the ignition...nada.

She said that it was fine last night, and she checked all switches to make sure nothing was left on overnight, and everything was off.

I guess these batteries can just up and die like that. The car was new in May 2002, so I guess the battery is coming up on 3 years old. Does that sound about the average life?

I'll have to replace it tomorrow. What do you guys recommend for replacement?

I guess I won't have to worry about resetting my ECU for my boost problem since I'm sure this will surely reset it.......

And I don't have a radio code, so I'll be without one for a little while.

Default Kareem, Same deal, May, '02 car. This is what I think-->

The batteries we got are crap. And they always go out at the worst time. I asked the same question a while back. You're still under warranty I assume so let Audi replace it free. If not, get a Sears Die-Hard. Yep, I've used them plenty and they last 6 years - guaranteed. My last one died 3 weeks before the limit and they gave me a discount. How about that? BTW most people who responded to my delima said I didn't know what I was talking about. I guess 18 years with Die-hards has no credibility.........

Default One more thing. If you are APR chipped you're going to have to-->

unlock and reset it after they change out the battery. Hope you know your secret code. If not the istaller always keeps a copy. Good luck amigo.
