Sadly it seems most of the time the answer to your question is yes >>>
Backing out of driveways, changing lanes on the highway, doesn't make a difference people don't look and usually don't care.

i had that happen to me sitting at a light>>>
older gentleman backing out of the local shopping strip...big station wagon, and he bumps the right rear corner.....
I get out...and he says "I did not see you"......i think the look on my face alone could have turned him to stone.
I mentioned "how can you miss a bright red car???".....
Plus people do not care.....it is truly sad.

alot of people nowadays drive by 'feel'. i've seen it several times...which is why i try
not to parallel park where i used to get hit all the time...whether it was a scrape or bump or license plate screw divets in my bumper.
