Default I just installed the APR R1 DV

It makes the car so much smoother in comaprison to the Greddy I had in (That may be my fauilt due to nit having it adjusted right etc etc...)(this is the modified R1 btw)

Smooth delivery of power...but at partial boost the f'n this still honks like a goose >
Should I try it in reverse install or can it be dialled out with the boost machine???

Input please...(Specially you Steve)

TIA
Marcus

Default Are you in stock or relo position?

I don't think orientation will stop the honking - and why would you change boost on your setup to eliminate a DV problem?

Default Stock location...I'm running a Forge FMIC

APR blamed the first DV I had from them on pressure drop due to the FMIC's size

I'm just looking for input thinking that maybe Steve had seen somethign done differently with this DV in combination with the BM to make the noise quit.

I love how the damn thing feels...thats the tragedy of it all.
My greddy was/is way more aggressive which translates in less smooth (for me anyway)

Default Yup, some have reported the same thing, thought that was corrected .......

by the upgraded diaphragm. Just seems like some setups honk and some don't.

Default We put a re-sprung one on Oldsetters car..>>

A few weeks ago along with a Boost machine (stock location, normal orientation) and it was pretty quiet. A very slight noise at the transition point but no real Honk. George now has the re-lo on and had a problem with boost blowing off but the guy who did the work put the DV on Backwards (boost in the bottom). Last i heard all was good..

Default Maybe a relocate should be in my future then...

That should eliminate some of the pressure issues if I'm not mistaken..plus cooler air to the DV cant hurt

Default UPDATE...............

reversed the orientation of the DV (easy to get it wrong if you look at Forge instructions, it is opposite of what they show in their pics) and now the goose is back!! Not as bad as originally but worse than after the Boost Machine install, it sits right at -5 to -10 and promptly goes away!
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!
