Default I mentioned that I refinished all 4 wheels recently. Somewhat bad news...

Last week, Discount Tire replaced all 4 tires. I looked at the wheels closely and 3 out of 4 wheels (again, recently refinished) now have some damage on them.

One of the wheels looks like it was flat out dropped and the Discount Tire Manager admitted this. There is a flat spot on the side of the rim consistent with a drop. The other 2 wheels that were damaged have minor scratches.

The good news is that Discount Tire is apparently going to fix the wheels with zero hassle. Still, it's a PIA to deal with and annoying when you just got all 4 wheels refinished within the past few weeks!

Default You think the word " Discount" had anything to do with this problem ! I'm going to

The Million Dollor Tire Store when I need tires. Their monkey's go to rim school.

Default I've had good luck with Discount Tire and they've been stand up about taking responsibility...

I was actually preparing myself for a fight (i.e. "we didn't do this"), but they said that they would take care of it without any hassle.

Default went to "official Tire Rack install center" with the chrysler >>

it was a Strauss Service ...or something.
A chain.....

Tires mounted......
inflated to 50psi each
long stems used....like for a truck
best part.........balanced absolutely wrong.....backwards, actually!

Went to my usual service place and the owner couldn't believe it!
Then I told him where I went.

Default I had that happen on my GTi, pulled out & it was like driving on rocks. Insane.

Stopped @ the first gas station ( a block away ) & corrected their idiocy.

You're lucky they haven't made you sign a waiver, that seems to be all the craze in NY.
