Default I own a Quattro again! Now a 01 TT Quattro Coupe 225

Hi There,
So I am the proud 2nd owner of a low mile 2001 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro Coupe 225 6-speed. First impressions... love this machine! Reminds me of my first Quattro, 2001 A4 1.8T but handles even better & much more powerful with a chipped 225 vs chipped 170 base 1.8T engine.
Mechanically and cosmetically it is in amazing shape. Timing belt was replaced about a year ago on schedule at 75k.

Known Issues:
1. The windshield washers don't work. Guessing fuse or pump, have not looked into yet.
2. Overhead cabin lights do not work. Have not tried to diagnose yet.
3. Lock/unlock buttons do not work adjacent to e-brake.
4. Typical LCD screen issues, not gonna do anything about.
5. Keys were not programmed to car due to really old batteries. Already re-programmed.
6. Headlights need a good reconditioning.

I was very active on AW, AZ, Fortitude, and SoCalAudi/VW over a decade ago, but wanted to say hello as a blast from the past! About 5 years ago I sold my A4 and got an 87 Westfalia. So the past half dozen years or so I have been cruising The Samba for my auto-resource needs.
Anyways wanted to say hello again and I have already found some great info as expected for my new to me TT.
Cheers
James

Clean interior too.

Welcome back. As an old left-coast owner, you need to sign up for the TT West mailing list. The web site is here TT West 2019 Coming Soon but is presently being re-worked for TTW 2019 in CO and NM. You can follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/GoToTTWest/

Some Updates:
Still love the car and been working on taking care of some of the issues and needed maintenance. The new plugs, diverter valve have it running really well and amazing how much faster this car feels compared to my 01.5 B5 A4 1.8T with similar mods.

Recent Work:
  • New Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 225/45/17 and 4 wheel alignment.
  • APR R1 Diverter Valve replaced a whining 710N valve.
  • NGK V-Power R5671A-7 w/ 0.028" gap
  • FIXED: The windshield washers. It was a pump failure.
  • Brake Light Switch replaced
  • Replaced worn front floor mats with OEM floor mats
  • ECS Dogbone Mount
  • 034 Street Density Motor Mounts
  • 034 Motorsports Breather Valve Kit
  • 034 Motorsports Aluminum Shifter Bracket Bushings
  • Replaced a broken horn, with low tone Hella horn
  • G13 Coolant Flush / Oil Change / Oil Filter Change / Cabin Filter Change
Outstanding Issues:
  • Cruise Control does not work
  • Overhead cabin lights do not work. Thinking this is the CCM, might send in to ModuleMaster.
  • Lock/unlock buttons do not work adjacent to e-brake. Thinking this is the CCM, might send in to ModuleMaster
  • Battery is draining really fast and battery is only 1 year old. Thinking it is related to the CCM, but not sure.
Up Next:
  • HPA Touch motion AWD Programmer
  • Haldex Oil / Filter Change
  • Transmission Oil Change
  • Misc. vacuum lines
  • CV Boots
