The installation went smoothly and I am absolutely in awe of the Bilsteins and StopTech combo.
First, the StopTech brakes are gorgeous just to the eye. They are very large and very red. They go on perfectly with only a minor adjustment required to a small metal backing plate to keep it from rubbing on the larger rotors. The EBC Green Stuff pads I ordered fit perfectly and changing the pads on these callipers could not be easier.
As far as the feel, well I can't say a whole lot yet because they're still settling in. One thing I can report, however is that the pedal travel has actually shortened for me and pedal feel is much more sensitive. I wonder how much of this is attributable to the SS lines?
Anyway, on to the Bilsteins. I know Michael has talked them up but I have to say I don't even think he's done them justice. They are absolutely astonishing and the real reason I feel I have a brand new car. They stiffen up the suspension and necessarily so. What used to feel soft now feel tight. I took my usual twisties home and what a difference! The car hugged the turns and I didn't feel the need to cut off the corners into the opposite lane like I did in the past. The car followed the lines of the curves and was VERY precise. If your on the fence with these...all I can say is DO IT.

Do you guys actually drive your cars? How can the underside be so clean? :)
I don't have enough time during the weekends to wash my car let alone clean the entire underside of the car! DAMN - those do look sweet! As far as teh Bilsteins are concerned - what did you expect They are great shocks. I had the H&R/Bilstein sport combo on my GTI - it was great.

Yes! I can't say enough about the Bilstein shocks!!!
I had a big SEG all the way home from picking my TT up after my Bilstein install last Friday. This is the way the car was meant to be!!!
