I had Golf GTI's and Peugeot 205 GTI's, the torque steer was just something you got used to, but I'd forgotten all about it.
I just bought a Mazda Tribute (same as Ford Escape) as I needed a car with more doors and roofs than the TT, and with 200 bhp going through the FRONT wheels (on a truck!?!) on soft suspension the torque steer is terrible. The thing pulls all over the place.
The only TT I've driven is my 225QR. Is there any torque steer in the FWD cars?

TTQ is FWD till wheels slip, n'est pas? or so haldex says. does torque steer occur before
wheel slippage? Used to feel it in my Acura Legend, but haven't sensed it in TTRQ even when I remember to turn off stupid ESP. which I'm getting better at remembering to turn off cause it sucks so much.
